Entry Seven

Dear Diary,

He came wrapped as a small silence,
a very still moment of quiet.
With soft words,
whispering to her soul like a lullaby,
sweet and suffocating,
a promise of peace that felt like surrender.
Devotion.

He allowed her to give in to the voices,
Comforting the night with her tears.
With him, she could disappear without fully vanishing,
As he silenced the murmurs of the world,
and the weight inside her.

And only he remained.
Judge, jury and executioner.

Eerily comforting.

In wolf's clothing,
He promised safety,
escape,
to a broken flock.
Cradling her gently,
Holding her tightly.

Until he finally became her sanctuary.
Peace.

And then, one day,
it all bro—

Goodbye for now...
